[MC]2 2014 MTConnect: Connecting Manufacturing Conference Call for Speakers Open

December 27, 2013 - McLean, Va. … The MTConnect Institute, organizer of the third [MC]2 2014 MTConnect: Connecting Manufacturing Conference - Advancing Data-Driven Manufacturing, announces the Call for Speakers which will run through January 15, 2014. The conference will be held in Orlando, Fla., April 8-10 at the Caribe Royale Orlando.

“The MTConnect Institute is looking for dynamic presentations that celebrate our successes, challenge our thinking, and push the digital manufacturing field forward all with MTConnect as the underlying fabric,” said incoming President and Chairman of the MTConnect Institute Board Courtney Hill. “Our intent is to compile a world-class roster of manufacturing technology thought leaders and industry insiders for [MC]2 2014, which will be packed with timely insights, strategic views and actionable items centering on data-driven manufacturing intelligence transforming shop floor operations.”

MTConnect is a set of open, royalty-free standards intended to foster greater interoperability between controls, devices and software applications by publishing data over networks using the Internet Protocol. Since its introduction in 2008, MTConnect has become the standard for manufacturing connectivity. The manufacturing technology community commonly uses MTConnect to connect the shop floor to monitoring applications and to integrate the shop floor with the entire manufacturing enterprise.

The conference schedule and program tracks for [MC]2 2014 include:

  • Hands-on technical training on the first day of the conference. One key topic will be a “how-to” on building an MTConnect agent.
  • General sessions on the second and third mornings of the conference covering business-oriented topics, which apply to a broad range of conference attendees.
  • Breakout sessions will run concurrently during the afternoon of the second day of the conference. The topics will be targeted towards specific segments of attendees.

For further information about the conference and how to submit a proposal, visit the Call for Speakers page of the [MC]2 Conference website at www.MTConnectConference.com.
